Overview
With this absorbing walk, discover the history of traditional board games and its evolution to modern form of chess and puzzles. For it is in India itself that the world famous chess and snakes-and-ladders were originated.
Undertaken anytime between 10am and 5pm, the experience will last for around 3-4 hours. You will meet at Town Hall in Mysore and proceed towards the beguiling old houses, shops and temples where these traditional boards still exist. The traditional board games were simple, drawn on the floor or ground. It evolved as women created colourful, embroidered game boards on cloth. Discover the royal connection behind these board games. The guide will engage you with fascinating stories and titbits along the way.
